Providing the right nutritional and dietary advice is of paramount importance to my clients’ health and wellbeing.  Many of my clients have a variety of symptoms ranging from skin complaints, weight management, low mood, brain fog, digestive problems, bloating, IBS and fatigue. All of the above complaints are a potential symptom of a food intolerance†.

Identifying and eliminating any food intolerances† can represent a crucial stage in helping my clients to become fitter and healthier individuals.

As a Lorisian Practitioner, I can offer you a simple finger-prick test, which can be taken in the comfort of your own home and post to our laboratory. The lab will then analyse the sample for IgG (1-4) reactions to up to 208 foods and drinks, in order to identify your individual food triggers. Your results are sent to me to review and during your follow up consultation call I will help formulate a fast-track elimination diet based on their unique results.

  • What is a Food Intolerance?

Food intolerance is a detrimental reaction, usually delayed, to a food or drink ingredient that produces symptoms in the body, but it is not a true food allergy. When foods and drinks are digested the proteins within them are broken down into smaller fragments for easy absorption into the body. Larger fragments can pass through without breaking down, and sometimes the body reacts to them as invaders, attacking them using antibodies called Immunoglobulin (IgG). This can cause inflammation and a wide range of symptoms including headaches, digestive problems, IBS, bloating, itchy skin, joint pain, weight gain and low mood.

  • Can Food Intolerance Affect Sports Performance?

Food intolerances can be the cause of serious medical symptoms and can also have a major impact on how our bodies perform. When our bodies are working hard to achieve a physical goal it makes sense to ensure that the food we are eating is working with us – not against us. A Lorisian food intolerance test can help you to optimise your diet to achieve your goals.

  • How do I Conduct the Test?

After our initial telephone consultation, I will post you your Intolerance Testing Kit to complete in the comfort of your own home. All that is required is a simple pinprick test to provide the laboratory which is all they need to test you.  You can then pop your completed test into a prepaid envelope and post it back to the lab. I will receive your results in a matter of days. These will be analysed by myself prior to our follow up consultation, where we can discuss your results and formulate a plan.
