My plans are based on whole foods which will help you to naturally detox from sugar and lose weight. You will feel amazing really quickly. I firmly believe that leading a healthy balanced life is down to more than just the food that we eat. It's important to understand that other aspects of our life can have a detrimental effect on our food choices.

Motivation and willpower are great when you have it. This is usually high when you decide to try and reach a healthy relationship with food, but it doesn’t last forever. There will be days when you need to find a different coping method to deal with your daily life.

Having me as your personal accountability coach will help increase your ability to reach your goals—even when you aren’t keen or motivated to do so.

The 8-week plan provides 4 one to one coaching sessions including 8 weeks of email support, encouragement and accountability. Emotional Eating

This can be a very stressful time of year for many people and emotions run high. Christmas can be a lonely time for some people, some may feel the financial strain, family tensions or simply just the day to day stress of preparing for the big day. We are also surrounded by lots of food and treats in the shops and at home making temptations for food much harder to resist.

Stress manifests in different ways, but most of us can relate to the concept of emotional eating. I was guilty of this and sometimes I still am however, I recognise it a lot more and can manage it better than I used to.

Do you ever ever catch yourself scoffing a full pack of biscuits after a particularly stressful day? Emotional eating or stress eating is when you consume food not out of hunger, but out of anxiety, frustration, or sadness.

But don’t worry- emotional eating is somewhat normal, and in some cases, better for your mental health depending on how you handle it.
In fact, emotional eating can be great for relieving stress with THE RIGHT FOODS, provided it doesn’t get too out of hand.

Indulging in and savouring the flavours of food feels good and can lift our moods instantly.
But when emotional eating no longer relieves but rather contributes to stress, it can get out of hand.

At a point, emotional eating gives way to self-loathing as we feel ashamed of our indulgence. We want to hide our “binging” episodes, but because of a lack of other emotional coping mechanisms, they spiral out of our control.

To prevent emotional eating from advancing to the next stage, you need to tackle the problem at its roots: stress, frustration, and other emotional ruts. Recognising these is an amazing first step.

If you are really struggling with emotional eating or you feel you are tipping over to binge eating and it’s making you feel low in mood and guilty about your food choices then please get in touch with me. The world is a tough lonely place for so many of us out there. (Including myself!) I had a mini meltdown yesterday after feeling isolated, lonely and generally fed up. I know I’m not alone and there are lots of people out there in much worse situations than me but I have had to give myself a shake and and go back to basics. This too will pass...

Some nights it’s all about flinging all the random veg leftovers together and creating something that actually tastes amazing!! I love cooking but only after I have started, I always tell myself I can’t be bothered but then end up in my element every time I start throwing stuff together and experimenting! Delish no-cook meal prep recipe

Good morning all, HAPPY FRIDAY! Yay 😀

I’ve got a really simple but delicious grab-and-go salad recipe for you today! 🥗

Meal prep plays a big role in sticking to your nutrition gameplan, and this recipe will help make your life a lot easier AND stay on track with your goals.

It’s perfect for bringing to work and you can customise it based on your taste and what veggies you have on hand. Feel free to experiment because you can’t go wrong!

Also – you can amp up the protein on this by adding your choice of protein just before serving. Try prawns, chicken, cooked beef, cooked salmon, black or pinto beans, or tofu.

Store this as-is, without the dressing or protein, otherwise, it could get soggy.

Delish Meal-Prep Salads
(makes 4 servings)

4 big handfuls shredded cabbage or dark leafy green lettuce
2 tbsp chopped fresh herbs
2 cups cooked quinoa or brown rice
2 bell peppers (your choice of colour), chopped
4 medium carrots, peeled and chopped
1 medium cucumber, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 cup beetroot, chopped
1 tbsp sesame seeds
OPTIONAL: 2 cups prawns, shredded cooked chicken, or another protein choice

Peanut Sauce
● ½ cup (130 g) peanut or almond butter
● ¼ cup (60 ml) lower-sodium coconut aminos
● ¼ cup (60 ml) water
● 1 tbsp rice vinegar
● 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
● 1 clove garlic, minced

Get 4 reusable glass containers. Place equal amounts of all of the ingredients in the containers, EXCEPT your optional protein choice.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the ingredients and pour equal amounts into ¼-cup containers.

Store in the fridge until ready to eat. To serve, stir ½ cup of your protein choice into the salad, shake the dressing well, and pour it over the top of the salad. Mix well and enjoy!

Always grateful - not the way I planned things to go in my life but hey🤷🏼‍♀️when does anything go to plan (that would be boring) Often massive shifts are meant to happen to allow you to live the life you were meant to live. I wouldn’t change a single thing, because I do believe everything happens for a reason. My 30s have HANDS-DOWN been the best decade so far...(although I’m sure age zero to 10 was awesome too) But as an adult my 30s is where I grew, I know what I want, what I don’t want or need, I grew more confident in myself and my business while being the best mum I can be to my tribe! My 30s has changed my life for the better, so instead of worrying that I’m clattering on to the big four 0...I’m thinking bring it on!

Emotions can indirectly affect our physical bodies

Emotions can indirectly affect our physical bodies as well and mentally. Oftentimes, how we feel affects the way we behave - whether we turn to or away from healthy foods, exercise, and sleep. Over the long-run, these habits and behaviours can take a toll on our physical health. These work in the other direction as well, whereby after we eat, exercise, and/or sleep, we feel different emotions than we did beforehand.

Think about what you do when you’re feeling stressed or sad. Do you turn to (and devour) sweets and maybe skip your workout, for example? It’s also possible that you lose your appetite during times of stress. Do you find it easier to stay on track with your food choices and exercise routine when you’re happy and content?

Mind-Body Practices for Optimum Health

There are many practices we can take on to help foster calmer minds, inner peace, and lead to a higher level of physical health and wellness.

These include:
● Mindfulness meditation,
● Yoga,
● Tai chi,
● Acupuncture, and
● Massage therapy.

The way you think and feel can help to feed health or disease. Your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions can affect your body directly (through nerves and hormones) and indirectly (by influencing habits and behaviours).

Some of the common health concerns that many people use mind-body practices are fatigue, stress, pain, and moods.

I love helping my clients figure out ways to reduce stress and help them recognise the mind-body connection and how it may affect their overall health and happiness.

What a lovely lockdown birthday weekend! Staying in is defo the new going out. 38 doesn’t seem so bad after all, every birthday is a blessing. I am also doubly blest to share my birthday with my mum, what are the chances of that. She does tell me that should have thought of a better way to spend her birthday but I was the best birthday present! 💕Thank you for all the lovely birthday yesterday, I plan on carrying on the celebrations again tonight because...why not! You only turn 38 once!

Always grateful - not the way I planned things to go in my life but hey🤷🏼‍♀️when does anything go to plan (that would be boring) Often massive shifts are meant to happen to allow you to live the life you were meant to live. I wouldn’t change a single thing, because I do believe everything happens for a reason. My 30s have HANDS-DOWN been the best decade so far...(although I’m sure age zero to 10 was awesome too) But as an adult my 30s is where I grew, I know what I want, what I don’t want or need, I grew more confident in myself and my business while being the best mum I can be to my tribe! My 30s has changed my life for the better, so instead of worrying that I’m clattering on to the big four 0...I’m thinking bring it on!

Emotions can indirectly affect our physical bodies

Emotions can indirectly affect our physical bodies as well and mentally. Oftentimes, how we feel affects the way we behave - whether we turn to or away from healthy foods, exercise, and sleep. Over the long-run, these habits and behaviours can take a toll on our physical health. These work in the other direction as well, whereby after we eat, exercise, and/or sleep, we feel different emotions than we did beforehand.

Think about what you do when you’re feeling stressed or sad. Do you turn to (and devour) sweets and maybe skip your workout, for example? It’s also possible that you lose your appetite during times of stress. Do you find it easier to stay on track with your food choices and exercise routine when you’re happy and content?

Mind-Body Practices for Optimum Health

There are many practices we can take on to help foster calmer minds, inner peace, and lead to a higher level of physical health and wellness.

These include:
● Mindfulness meditation,
● Yoga,
● Tai chi,
● Acupuncture, and
● Massage therapy.

The way you think and feel can help to feed health or disease. Your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions can affect your body directly (through nerves and hormones) and indirectly (by influencing habits and behaviours).

Some of the common health concerns that many people use mind-body practices are fatigue, stress, pain, and moods.

I love helping my clients figure out ways to reduce stress and help them recognise the mind-body connection and how it may affect their overall health and happiness.

What a lovely lockdown birthday weekend! Staying in is defo the new going out. 38 doesn’t seem so bad after all, every birthday is a blessing. I am also doubly blest to share my birthday with my mum, what are the chances of that. She does tell me that should have thought of a better way to spend her birthday but I was the best birthday present! 💕Thank you for all the lovely birthday yesterday, I plan on carrying on the celebrations again tonight because...why not! You only turn 38 once!
